
Mission
The mission of the National Environmental Justice Institute (NEJI), the first of its kind in the country, is “to provide a broad array of services to front line and marginalized communities to both predict and mitigate existing challenges.”
Anchored as a full constituent of Atlanta Metropolitan State College, it involves its campus, faculty and students and supplements the college’s curriculum development, research capability and course offerings.
Vision
We have a vision of “creating a just, equitable, resilient, and sustainable world for all.” The reach of NEJI will be national, and will recruit the student and faculty, research and outreach.
